Light weight tandem recumbent tricycle


        This 35 lb lightest weight tricycle, only one of it’s kind features, two rider seating, ten speed gearing, rear breaking, wind screen, and has negative angle solid axle steering giving the tricycle the ability to lean into turns which keeps the rear wheel from distorting and collapsing. Powered by one rider in the recumbent position using locomotive type motion to rotate standard bike pedals. Powered by two riders the second rider sets over the rear wheel and uses the standard pedals to assist the recumbent driver.





















Built by Harding High School students with technical help from George Lazar and Frank Naypaver as human powered project to explore light weight power for a human powered helicopter project.
